Do you have any Favorite quotes about writing?
Due to my participation in the NaNoWriMo challenge, I’m keeping this one short.
There are really only two quotes that I keep in mind while I’m writing.
You can’t edit a blank page is the first. While I have no idea who originally said it, I heard it from someone who gave me lots of help and advice when I was starting out.
What they meant was that I should write everything down without worrying about how it looks.
After all, there’s plenty of time to sort it all out and make sense of it later. The last thing you want to do is lose an idea for fear of it sounding wrong when you initially see it.
The other is from one of my favourite authors, Isaac Asimov,
Writing about the future and things that don’t yet exist, as I do, I think this is very important, and something that I strive towards, at all times.

I haven’t heard that one from Isaac Asimov before, but I totally agree that everything has to sound true.

That can be the hardest (unseen) part of the whole process.

I love your quotes. Especially the one about the blank page.
Richard Dee
It’s so true.

That’s a great one from Asimov! And the other is definitely true, too. @samanthabwriter from

Thanks, there are so many but those speak to me.

Oh! I really like these. Asimov was great at making his work sound true. He really got that.
Richard Dee
Asimov was the Sci-fi writer who really got me into the genre. I could see his worlds so clearly in my head.
