Tell us the quirkiest thing about you…
I walk barefoot on the cliffs most days, whatever the weather. It doesn’t stop me if the cows are in the field and have been fertilizing the grass. I just mind where I tread.
And here I am, just last week.
It all started a while ago, after I watched the Earthing movie.
I thought it made perfect sense, so I tried it and felt better almost immediately.
Of course, it might just be the placebo effect but, to be honest, who cares?
As long as it works.
I love the feeling of wet grass between my toes, and I love the reaction of the people I meet, walking their dogs or just walking.
You get the double take, when they see my shoes in my hand and realise that they’re not a spare pair. It sinks in that they’re mine and NOT on my feet.
Where they would normally be.
Especially when it’s cold, or wet. Or if the cows have been particularly generous.

Barefoot time is necessary. I too like reconnecting to the land in this way.
