As I said before it’s been a busy week so far but I have been trying to keep up with the writing. Now that I’ve had my hospital appointment (and it all went well, sedation is a wonderful thing!) I can resume my second edit of “The Rocks of Aserol.” I’m finding a few things that both I and my editor missed and also a few places where the story can be re-written. So from thinking it was finished, I find that in fact it wasn’t. I’m still on target for a September release and have found a cover designer who comes highly recommended. More news on that to follow.

In other work, I now have 7 ideas or part completed works in progress! I know I said before that I like to have a couple of ideas so I can hop about when I get tired of one but this is ridiculous. The trouble is, as soon as I read a part of one of my part finished works to get back up to speed, I get an idea which would work as a separate story.

It’s more than likely that a lot of them will never actually make it to a full tale, what usually happens is that as I’m writing it becomes more difficult to see where it’s all leading. As I tend not to have a plot but rather just put my hands on the keys and see what happens I take this resistance as a clue to leave it. And some of the ideas do pick up after a rest of a few months but others just drift away. And some just stay as Flash Fiction.

As you will see from the logo on the sidebar, I have taken the plunge and joined the Alliance of Independent Authors, I think it’s important as I develop to know that someone has your back and that there are others who have gone through the same things that you have. Independence is a great thing to have, I’ve never really conformed and don’t intend to start now!

Back to the grind.
