Random Sales!

I love the excitement of a random sale, you just never know when you’ll make one.

I was in my local post office sending a letter to Nielsen, the assistant saw the letters ISBN on the address and asked if the letter was book related. I told her about my self-publishing plan and we got into a conversation (the people behind in the queue shuffled and muttered). But I didn’t care because she bought a copy of Ribbonworld! Apparently she loves Sci-fi. I didn’t expect that today.

Connected to that, Peter the shop manager (the post office is in a general store) got involved and now my book is sitting on his shelves with the magazines. The shop is very popular with people on holiday, so I’m hoping for sales as they get stuck in their caravans in the rain this summer.
